The Yards Brings NYC Chef Michael White & the Altamarea Group to DC

Forest City and the Altamarea Restaurant Group of New York City today  jointly announced that Altamarea’s latest location of their successful Osteria Morini restaurant concept will open at The Yards in  summer 2013. The new 4,250 square foot Osteria Morini will be located in the Lumber Shed, an adaptive reuse component of The Yards, located on the riverfront at the northern edge of The Yards Park. It is the first tenant to be announced for the Lumber Shed and the first DC-area location for Chef White and the Altamarea Group.

Pedestrian Bridge Connecting Yards Park With Diamond Teague Park Opens

Forest City Washington joined with DC Mayor Vincent Gray, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and officials from the Washington Navy Yards, USDOT and DC Water to officially cut the ribbon on the new waterfront pedestrian bridge connecting The Yards Park with Diamond Teague Park. The famous Racing Presidents from Nationals Park inaugurated the bridge in style, racing down its length to be a part of the ribbon cutting at the last minute.
